Hi, my dear lovers of pleasure!
As I promised before,so today I am going to tell you the second part of this trip, the most XXX rated part of the town.
Something for which Amsterdam is known and characteristic is the red-light district, but ... How did it come about? Has it always been there? Why is there a church?
For those of you who do not know it, the red-light district is the zone of sin, narrow streets and wide streets crossed by canals, full of people talking or strolling while they enjoy the relax atmosphere that is generated there, browsing through the windows They are far from being clothes, but women who are exhibited to sell their services, using all possible tricks to attract the attention of the stroller .... What if an unexpected wink, a very sensual dance, a funny show .. Anything goes, to make the onlooker, go inside the cabin to ask the price or be carried away by passion.
Something to keep in mind before having an encounter with any of these women, is the color of the cabin .... Yes, the color is very important .... If the cabin has a red light, inside there is a woman from head to toe, on the other hand if the light is blue, inside we find Maria José (that is, Maria on the top and José on the bottom).
In my opinion, it is neither an obscene neighborhood, nor a dangerous one, on the contrary, it is interested to see, it is true that they are still women who are exposed as in a market, but it is regulated, they have social security, and they decide to work there willingly, in a fitting place and they are the ones that make the rules of the game.
Sorry if there are no photos of the red light district, because it is forbidden to take photos since many of these girls work there without their family knowing that and also for privacy I have not been able to take them.
Walking through the streets of sin, it strikes us to find a church ... Legend has it that, many years ago, Amsterdam was a city with a lot of commerce. There were many sailors, merchants and fishermen who went there and after months at sea, were eager for affection and since their women were far away, they fell in the arms of any venus that crossed their path. After spending the night with them, they made them see all the sins they had committed for which they would go to hell because the next day could be their last day on earth, due to a furious storm at sea, a heart attack or any event that might have put their lives at risk.

Therefore, the church and the ladies of easy virtue saw a good deal if they allied themselves, they were great entrepreneurs and they made all the navigators go to the church to confess before committing the sins only for a small fee (enough), and be absolved. Imagine the sins they have committed, since they had already paid and the price was the same, they took advantage of it. What do you think? A great idea, right?
Another reason why Amsterdam is so famous, is because of the amount of Coffeeshops that exist. It's a city where marihuana and hashish is legal. It is very common to see tourists and people from the city, entering these places to spend the afternoon, while they smoke a joint, take a brownie of marihuana or a hookah ... As soon as you enter, the air gets you high. Forget about the coffee this is not a place for coffee lovers. Do you remember a scene from Ocean Twelve in a cooffeshop at the beginning of the movie? That coffeeshop is in Amsterdam and it's called De Damploring
A interesting fact that you have to take into account after I told you all this, is that in Amsterdam, it is prohibited to consume alcohol on public spaces, if they see you on the street with a can of beer you can be fined a considerable amount of money. And like me, you will ask yourself if you can smoke joints and not drink alcohol? They consider that a drunkard is more dangerous and more scandalous than a stoner.
As a city of sin, games of chance could not be missed, there are a lot of casinos, some clandestine although it is not a city known for this..
It is worth going to Amsterdam, I found it very interested, nice and had a great atmosphere, reading it is not the same as living it, so if you have not visited this city I encourage you to discover it and tell me if you are or not in agreement.
As you can see in the end, I got carried away and I need more space and time to continue, so since I do not want to leave you without visiting the town of the mills, i will tell you about the best views of the city and places to eat, I recommend that you continue here and read me in the next post.
I will see you soon! In the meantime, enjoy the little pleasures of life!
